• Spanish TV & film actress Clara Lago helps WWF España promote Earth Hour
• Millions to turn off lights to show commitment to fight global climate change

WWF España, the Spanish affiliate of global environmental organization WWF, has recruited Spanish television and film actress Clara Lago Grau to help encourage people in Spain to turn out their lights Saturday night during WWF’s annual Earth Hour event, designed to raise awareness and show people’s commitment to fighting global climate change.

In 2014, Lago starred in the film Spanish Affair, which broke Spanish box-office records as the top-grossing Spanish film of all time, is well known-among Spanish television viewers and film-goers, having begun her career at the age of 9 as part of the cast of Antena 3’s popular Compañeros series.

WWF’s Earth Hour, the world’s largest environmental advocacy movement in the world, encourages people around the globe to turn off their lights for one hour each year as a symbol of their commitment to fight climate change. In 2017, Earth Hour will be held on Saturday 25th March from 8:30 to 9:30 pm (local time). In 2016, millions of individuals, companies, institutions and associations in 178 countries worldwide supported WWF’s Earth Hour.
