Telefonica’s ‘Think Big’ program picks 310 finalists for funding of projects with positive social impact

• Annual program funds, mentors young social entrepreneurs across Spain •

Spain’s Telefonica Foundation has announced the selection of 310 finalists in its annual Think Big competition for social entrepreneurs, which this year netted 700 proposals for ideas in the areas of healthcare, art and culture, technology, the environment and education, from young people aged 15-26 years across Spain.

The annual Think Big program provides a small stipend of 200 euros to each of the finalists as seed money to continue developing the idea, as well as specific training and mentoring from Telefonica professionals in innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship over a six month period.

Program participants who pass on to subsequent stages of the program receive additional funding of up to 3,000 euros, plus additional mentoring to help them consolidate their project oward eventual launch as a viable enterprise with real social benefit.
