Thousands of women and men are set to march and attend rallies and events in hundreds of cities, towns and villages across Spain on Tuesday to celebrate International Women’s Day, commemorated every year on March 8th since 1914 and a truly global celebration since 1977, when the UN General Assembly invited member states to proclaim March 8th as the United Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace.

Marches, rallies and commemorative events will take place tomorrow afternoon and evening all across Spain, including major marches planned for Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Zaragoza, Valladolid, Vitoria-Gasteiz and dozens of other regional and provincial capital cities around the country.
