Spanish regional Autonomous Community governments are falling short in efforts to educate children against gender violence, according the CCOO teachers’ federation, which says the governments have failed to approve regulatory frameworks for implementation of the Spain’s Comprehensive Law Against Gender Violence.

The law calls for the regional governments to implement regulations for teaching students about gender equality, encouraging co-education and providing gender violence prevention programs in schools.
